Business World Experience
I have held positions in large and small companies. I was a business process trainer and developed computer-based training courses for companies such as Martin Marietta Data Systems (currently Lockheed Martin). I managed marketing functions – sales literature, public relations, and conferences – at Systems Center (currently Computer Associates). I was a strategic planner at Ogilvy & Mather Direct (currently Ogilvy One). I have also served as director of qualitative research at two market research companies.
Mental Health Experience
I have been a therapist in an out-patient substance abuse program, in a residential treatment facility based on a 12 Step approach, and a county jail. I have been a crisis counselor in a community agency, a health educator in a state agency, and taught psychology of adulthood at the college level. I have had a private practice as a counselor, on at least a part-time basis, since 1992.
